FamilySearch International launched a new and free service for pictures and documents that uses Lexmark multifunction products (MFPs). It will be available in over 2,800 of family history centers throughout North America. It is meant to help people preserve and organize the old traditional photos. The software provided by Lexmark allows the user to scan photos and documents straight to a FamilySearch.org account where they can be easily managed afterwards. You just have to bring the items that you want to digitally preserve to the local FamilySearch history center and to scan them there using the user-friendly touch screen on the Lexmark MFP.
