There’s nothing quite as personal as a photo gift, especially if you put some thought into what kind of photo you want to give the other person.  You have the option of going with a photo of the two of you doing something fun or just a view that you think the other person will like.  Here are a few different possibilities you could consider when presenting someone with a photo gift:

Not in the normal sense of the idea. I’m talking about my mom’s 90 year old husband. He is the nicest guy I have ever met – but let’s just say he is confused. He and my mom live at the Glenbrook Skilled Nursing Unit in Carlsbad. There are a couple of things always on his mind:

• • Is today Christmas? Did we send out Christmas cards?
  
• • Where did I park my Thunderbird? I think it is in the parking lot and I’d better move it.
  
• • I don’t have any money, I can’t afford lunch  (don’t worry, they still feed him)
  

Inspired by my recent post about Click•Scan•Share’s Holiday Card generating features, as I was doing my exercises this morning I came up with an idea. Since he has been fretting about Christmas since February it would really be a shame if he didn’t send out Christmas cards. How hard could it be to take my IPhone, take a picture, order personalized cards through Click•Scan•Share and make him happy?

But the idea grew. We will have to bring his Yorkie, now living with my sister, put a little Christmas cap on the over-sized hamster (as I call him) and add that Christmas touch. But what about the other residents? You know, it isn’t easy to get out of the skilled nursing unit. And photos mean so much to these people.

Maybe the Activities Director at Glenview Skilled Nursing will allow a photo day so residents can get their personalized Holiday cards made. They treasure the photos they receive; perhaps they will treasure the photos they can send out. What about it Brett (co-owner of Click•Scan•Share) What can we do to make a Holiday Photo day for the residents of Glenbrook skilled nursing?
